Further up the valley, in the Moldova-Sulița area, Lucina preserves the tradition of breeding Hucul horses. An outing for anyone interested in horses and Bucovina’s mountain landscape.

Fundu Moldovei features in the official trail guide. Choose a section that suits your fitness and check the stage map before setting off; you do not need to walk an entire region to enjoy its rhythm.
Plan access from the campsite to the marked trail separately. Use the official map and guide for distance, ascent and water points.
Rarău & Pietrele Doamnei
Set aside a mountain day for Rarău. The limestone formations of Pietrele Doamnei give the massif its distinctive skyline. Choose your route according to your experience and the conditions on the day.
